062/365 – Hula Hoops (the toy, not the crisp!)
I spent longer than I was expecting to at work so didn’t get chance to venture anywhere today, but then it’s amazing what you can find at your disposal around the workplace.
I was longing to be outside instead of stuck in an office; the sun was beating down and it was actually rather warm. I was quite surprised really considering how wet and grey it was when I arrived to work at 8.30 this morning. Having not long looked out the window, the weather’s gone back to it’s old ways now.
Making a photo out of something you wouldn’t think would make a ‘good’ photo is quite exciting. I’ve tried quite a few things during the first part of this challenge and today there’s another one to add to the pile.
I really like the colours in this, which is what drew me to these hoops in the first place. The bright colours really stand out and are extremely striking. Having just finished editing it, today’s image really reminds me of those Fruit Pastilles traffic light ice cream lollies I used to have as a child!
“Color is for me the purest form of expression, the purest abstract reality.”
